  Introduction of Philippine Chamber

The China-Philippines Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred as the CPCC) was organized in January 25, 2005, being proposed by Dr. Thomas G. Aquino, Senior Undersecretary of Department of Trade and Industry; and being endorsed by His Excellency Fidel V. Ramos, Former President of the Republic of the Philippines, with a view to further promote bilateral trade and investment ties between R. P. China and the Philippines.

The CPCC is a non-profit and non-government organization. The CPCC application was approved by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and its registration was permitted by the Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs. As exclusive Philippine Chamber in China, we are officially authorited by Chinese government to engage trade and investment activities all over China, at national & local levels.

It counts among its corporate members pioneering and successful Filipino companies in China such as Solid Industrial (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.; Premix Inve Nutrition (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.; Richfields Corporation, Ltd.; Handyware (China), Ltd.; Liwayway Marketing Corporation; San Miguel Corporation and Atlanta Industries GZ, Ltd. Its individual members are composed of Filipino businessmen and top caliber Filipino professionals holding high level management positions in various Multinational Companies (MNCs) operating in China, Filipino businessmen doing business in China mainland and other nationals including the Chinese who are interested in building trade and investment relations between China and the Philippines.

The main purpose of the Chamber is to serve as bridge between China and Philippines to enhance bilateral trade and investment relations. To attain said noble purpose, the Chamber has laid down the following objectives:

1. To serve as a forum for trade and investment issues that is affecting or will affect the business of Philippine companies and Filipino businessmen in China;

2. To help promote Philippine businessmen's interest particularly protecting the Philippine companies trade and investments in China.

3. To facilitate networking with government agencies, private/ state owned companies and businessmen both in and outside of China.

4. To help in further strengthening Philippines and China bilateral trade and investment relationship through holding of seminars, social events and other relationship building activities; and

5. To do all other lawful things as may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the foregoing objectives.

Activities of the China-Philippines Chamber of Commerce include a monthly “get together” with drinks and snacks. These are informal functions where members and guests can mingle and share the experience of living, working and doing business in China. We provide a good opportunity for people to network or simply catch-up with old friends and meet new ones. Business meetings are also arranged on a regular program to allow the business community to meet business delegations, ministers, and corporate and political notables.

We have a number of special commemorative social events each year (e.g., Philippine Independence Day, Open Bowling Tournament, Open Golf Tournament, Christmas Party…); planned weekends away; business briefings with guest speakers, and seminar on hit topics. You would be advised of these and other events by fax or email.
